Khiari Swift, 6’4″, 245, graduated in 2011 from Arroya High School with a 19.3 ppg, and 13.9 rpg average. Khiari came to AVC with several chronic injuries that slowed him down a great deal last summer. Add to that, he was competing against “Final Four” players for a slot on the team. Working with the coaching and the medical staff, he decided to grey shirt and now is healthy.   It is now up to Khiari to upgrade his energy levels to win a position on the team.

The major issue for Swift this year is where his talent will fit in on Antelope Valley College team. Will he become quick enough to play defense at the wing position? Is he tall to play the power forward position especially against the long athletic Foothill conference players? Swift has the knowledge of the AVC system. Now it is time for him to find a position at the elite JUCO college level where he can dominate.
